Welcome in Lodni Sporty Brno YC
LSBYC is situated on the right side of the Brno Dam Lake. The reservoir is an attractive piece of water with the banks and adjoining parkland giving superb vantage points for spectators. Usually it is possible to run all the races very close to the Club House. In addition to the vantage points boats can be made available to enable press and television to go afloat. Club facilities include include club hall, VIP´s and press room, bar, administrative rooms, changing rooms, toilets and showers.
Members of Lodni Sporty Brno Yacht Club took part in all of the previous ISAF (IYRU) Team Racing World Championships. They have also travelled to several team racing events in England including the Wilson Trophy. Three years ago the club began to organise team races for Vauriens. In September 98 the club held the International Team Racing Regatta with 6 teams from UK, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Austria. The racing was successful, fully umpired and will be run periodically as a Czech Team Racing Championship.
Besides the team racing activities the club runs numerous significant events every year, including the final races in Cadet, Vaurien and Fireball "Czech Cup" series.
Our membership includes many National Champions and National Team members. Their experience haves brought to the club a full understanding of the demands of running events at the highest level.
